"that's [sic] extremely rude and a waste of time. don't [sic] message me again."
I messaged this young (barely out of high school) person this afternoon, thanking them for visiting my profile, as I always do.
Writing my profile took some time, effort, and many drafts. But I completed something I am proud about and enjoy sharing with people in the community — in and out of hypnosis.
There are literally thousands of profiles on this website, some even better than mine. Yet this person took time out of their day to read what I have to say.
I did not have anything else to say to them other than a simple "thank you." Yet, I received a most unexpected and toxic response, using words like "extremely rude," and that I was a "waste of time."
I didn't expect to be made to feel that I was a waste of time with my thank you.
I didn't expect that a simple message to say thanks was considered "rude."
You have a lot to learn, young person, about how you interact with people. And if this is how you interact with people in the community, I wonder how your behavior is like in the real world.
Consider the company you're in. You and I are just cogs in a wheel.
